When my grandmother was still alive, her Christmas wishlist was that every grandchild give her a CD of their favorite band. She liked hearing the music that we loved. I have carried on that tradition (without the CD part) with my kids - I ask them to send me their favorite songs. You learn a lot about a person when you listen to their music.
