We have black bears all over our neighborhood (I live on the side of a mountain). I know they are wild animals and I'm in their territory, so I always maintain a healthy distance and keep my wits about me. That being said, I have not witnessed them being aggressive.

I have easily seen 30 bears in the 10 years I have lived here, most of which were on our property. It's like I live in a zoo, which I absolutely love.

Plus, it provides some writing material! : )
