This is a wonderful skill that I found to be very helpful with my trauma patients. I especially love the idea of "orienting" (I think I like that term better than grounding - I might switch out my previous term for this new one) when arriving at a new location. That extra transition time can help keep anxiety at bay. Great article, Sandra!
