Thank you for sharing all these memories. Similar to your experience with It, I remember staying up all night after reading Salem's Lot. I was terrified that someone was scratching at my window.

I read his books a lot as an older teen, but I haven't read any of his recent work. After finding his memoir, I'm motivated to read some of his newer books. He really is a brilliant storyteller.
