Most of my extended family live in different states, so I like to buy annual family memberships to places for them. For example, a membership to the zoo or a museum. They can go together as a family all year and make some memories even if I can't be with them.

For my kids, I do all sorts of gift experiences. Tickets to an amusement park for my youngest. Reservations for a tea with my daughter. A concert for my middle son. They all have different interests and it is great quality time just the two of us. : )
