Initially, I find it's hard to tell if someone is genuinely engaging, but after a few comments, I feel like I have a pretty good sense of the person. But, I have been surprised by a few people on this platform too. It feels hurtful and personal when someone plays us, but really it has more to do with them than you. You are better off without that person!
