I'm so thrilled to read an article on apologies - this was excellent, Julia! Sincere apologies are powerful (as you say) and they are necessary for healthy relationships. I see so many people who avoid saying "I'm sorry" because they feel like it takes away their power. Or, they flippantly apologize and expect the other person to let it go. There is an art to apologizing as you beautifully explain in this piece.
