I support our local zoo because their mission is to help animals in need. The zoo provides a home for animals that would not be able to survive in the wild. Plus, they have a robust conservation program. This I can support.

However, I have been to a few zoos that did it all wrong - small cages, no natural habitat, unhappy animals. These I definitely don't support.
