I find sitting still to be especially helpful in finding my zen. During the most hectic years of my life (young children, long work hours), I would drive home after work and sit in my car in the garage for a few minutes. I knew once I opened the door into the house that I would be greeted with chaos and I needed some quiet transition time between work and home. I told my husband why I sat in the garage and he let me sit there as long as I needed. Sometimes it was a long time. : )
