I do the same thing!! I see an interesting "recommended story", get distracted by the notifications, and then can't find the story again. It is so frustrating. After doing that several times, I have now learned to read the story first and check the notifications second. Clearly, I'm not a fast learner.

Regarding highlights, I have mixed feelings about them too. I wish they were only visible between the writer and reader.
