I agree. A tasteful CTA and/or linking to a relevant article can be helpful to the reader. I also started liking and commenting on YouTube once I understood the importance of those actions for the creator. I never paid much attention to content algorithms before joining Medium. I'm glad I understand it better now because I like to support content creators!
