Another thought-provoking piece. I love period shows/dramas like Downton Abbey, Call the Midwife, and Poldark, but these are all British (BBC) productions. They seem to accurately represent the times. I haven't seen Bridgerton, but that is an American production. Hmm... I'm going to have to watch it with this article in mind. I would rather see period shows that tell an accurate story of the times. We learn from history.

P.S. I did not like the 1996 version of Romeo and Juliet at all!
